SixWheel is looking for talented individuals who are passionate about electric vehicles and automation who would be excited about making a huge impact on the road freight industry while saving as much as 200 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent emissions annually. You would be a joining the early team of an early stage, high growth company. The team consists of industry veterans from the founding team of Cruise Automation (acquired by GM for $1B in 2016), GM, Amazon, Tesla, and more.

Responsibilities

SixWheel is build a new type of electric vehicle, also called the SixWheel.

The SixWheel is an electric-powered add-on to diesel semi trucks that turns them into 90% electric hybrids. Our key technology is that we require no modifications whatsoever to the truck itself to add the SixWheel. Instead of buying a full electric tractor, our customers can keep their existing tractor and just buy electric propulsion-like fuel. They can do this by coupling a SixWheel to their vehicle and using it. We then bill based only on the energy used. Just pay for what you pump.

In this role, you will play a critical role in every aspect of the company. From day-to-day testing operations to long-term strategy and everything in between, you will be involved in every part of what will make SixWheel a success. As a startup, we expect every employee to help with whatever skills they can offer, but specifically, we would expect you to be heavily involved or lead the following:

• New customer and business development
• Product financing and go-to-market strategy
• Mileage accumulation and product testing out of our facilities in the Bay Area, CA
• Customer deployment day-to-day charging and product support in Texas, Arkansas, and California
• Helping with the day-to-day administration of the company, including such functions as payroll, compliance, insurance, paying invoices, banking, etc.

You will work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of Electrical Engineers, Controls Engineers, Robotics Engineers, Software Engineers, and Technicians. You will be reporting directly to the CEO
